After leaving school at 16, Greg put himself through a 4-year course and achieved his City & Guilds in plumbing. His first job was with the Gas Board and the following 3 years he served as an apprentice studying his Gas until he became a fully qualified Gas Engineer. After that he took his Advanced and Technical Plumbing. He stayed with the Gas Board for the next 8 years until he came to a point in his life where he decided to start up on his own. Greg kept the business small and personal building up the customer base, so he was able to look after his young children. Once they were grown up and moved on with their own families, Greg expanded the business, and this is what leads us to where we are today; A successful and rapidly growing business that offers sound advice, quality work and a professional service.

PAMELA CASWELL

Bookkeeping & Accounts Administrator

Pam’s professional background has seen her work in administration and office management for most of her adult life whilst completing several further education courses including her most recent HNC in Business Management and Leadership.

She is now in charge of the bookkeeping & accounting for the business and general management of the office base, occasionally offering a hand with the administrative duties as well.
Pam is an invaluable member of the team and always has a friendly smile and readily available chat for our staff, contractors and customers.

DES MEEGAN

Fully qualified Gas Safe Engineer

Des has worked in the gas industry for most of his career and has been with Johnsons for several years. He is a customer favourite and always has time and a smile for everyone. Working on gas boilers and warm air heating systems, Des’ wealth of knowledge makes him a very important part of the team.

TESS COWLEY

Corporate Designer

Tess has vast knowledge in the plumbing and warm air heating industry and is a very confident, professional graphic designer.

Tess works behind the scenes with the company and is responsible for the website, social media pages and all aspects of corporate design for the business.

Starting the business proved to be the right choice and gradually Greg built up a list of loyal customers. Being a single parent bringing up 2 young children it was important to him to make sure he kept his working hours to suit the families needs but enough to make a comfortable wage to support him and his children. 

With support from his family the business started to go from strength to strength. The children where growing into young adults which gave him the time to increase his working hours. 

With the business looking healthy, at the end of 2016 Greg took on a major contract. This was going to change the company completely. At the beginning of January 2017, more people joined the team to enable the company to continue to grow.

And this is where we are today. It has been hard work but we have been introducing new work packages to make the company more efficient. Our team works as one unit with Greg at the helm. 

The company standards are very high and Greg always says “if I would be happy to see that in my house then I would be happy to see that in yours”.

We hold accreditation from Trust-a-Trader, Which and the Guild of Master Craftsmen. This speaks for itself about the quality of our work.
